I want to play the game, I want the friction

Eh, this place is a ghost town. Sort it out bro. I would assume you'd have more things to write since you're winning and all.

Should we talk about football? Specifically Arsenal?

Second final lost in less than a year. Hurts a bit but not so bad. Practice makes perfect..? I think it's mainly due to the fact that I honestly didn't think we'd win it (none of those expecting the worse to soften the blow) and all I wanted was a good performance from the kids/reserves.

The good
- theooooo's first goal for Arsenal. Very classy goal.
- Abou Diaby. That man is going to be immense for us. Very Vieira-esque. Lovely to watch until he got subbed, which was when we struggled.
- Sexy football in the first half. Really mullered the first teamer. Our midfield completely bumsexed (apologies for the lack of better term but seriously, they got pwned!) the likes of Lampard and Ballack.

The bad
- Armand Traore is not as good as I thought he would be. At least not yet. His positioning left a lot to be desired. And the story of this left back is similar to Eboue, good going forward, a bit cack in defending. Some of my friends disagree with me on this and having seen the match again yesterday, I thought he did OK in the first half and like the rest of the boys, faded in the second.
- Philippe Senderos. I suppose it's bad enough if simple interceptions are met with sighs of relief because you automatically assume he's going to fuck it up. Still, regardless how we lost the ball in midfield, he should have covered for Drogba's winning goal. It's a shame really because I thought he had one of his better games only to be exposed by those two good goals. I really like the lad but my patience is wearing thin.
- La Bestia's first touch. Or touch in general. Adios senor.

The ugly
- Jamie Redknapp. I could not stand that man. Good thing MacAllister sort of stabilizes the shitty Sky team but I do not understand WHY he's always on for our game. It's not like he provides any new insight because he just parrots what the other person says.
- John Terry's horrible injury. It was horrible and scary and the look on Fabregas' face calling on the medical team was enough to summarize on how horrible it could have been. Did I say it was horrible? Yes, it was horrible. In retrospect however, it was probably the turning point because Diaby was then subbed (will be out for 2 weeks with ankle injury! agh!) and we lost our shape.
- Frank Lampard. Oh, I really hate him.

The handbags towards the end? No proper punches thrown. Boooooo. It was embarrassing in a sense because of the whole higher morality ground or whatever bullshit we're supposed to hold. Plus it shows our immaturity and the obvious signs of impatience which resulted into the whole exhibition of frustration. We were tiring in the last quarter and it was evident in some of the decision making. Tom had a good point by saying that it shows the difference between Wenger and most managers. Others would definitely stick the first teamers and tell the youth to fuck off (or something nicer, obviously) but not Wenger. But at the end of the day, you can play all the sexy football you want but football is unfortunately about trophies. Djimi Traore would probably not be remembered fondly but he has won the Champions League. So it's a bit of a dilemma, do you play good, attractive football and lose OR play in a rigid system that would enable you to smash and grab.

I think Kolo should have not reacted there. I was a bit disappointed in him because he was one of the more senior players and he was the captain. I understand the frustration because it was clear what Obi-Mikel was up to. And fair enough for Chelski to attempt that. I thought Cesc did good to try and stop Fat Frank from giving his fair share but was misinterpreted and Fat Frank was surprised that a boy 20kgs lighter than him was able to withhold such a titanic arse. Ego bruised. From the replay I didn't think for one second Fat Frank was going in to be the peacemaker despite him claiming to be so. I initially thought Adebayor threw a side punch, which was why he got the card as well but now it's alleged that the ref got it wrong and it's a case of mistaken identity. How on earth are the FA going to explain that their officials mistook Adebayor for Eboue? That black people look the same? It would be very interesting to see how it unfolds because it breaks so much political incorrectness, it'll be hilarious.

I would have given a red to Fat Frank just for being Fat Frank. I don't have a thing against fat people in general because I do own a mirror myself, thankyouvery much. I just don't like people who think they're better than they actually are. Honestly, 19 goals this season (or something) and surely 2/3 of them are deflected. His 'volleys' are overrated because he needs a lot of space to actually get a good shot in target. Rarghh! I never thought I would dislike a footballer this much after Cristina Ronaldo. At least with Cristina, you would not begrudge him of his talent (not talking about riverdancing or perfect 10 diving).

It's a shame because we'd probably be remembered for that rather than the brilliant football we played earlier. It's a learning curve but I am wondering when are we going to bloody graduate.

Tom, Jon and I were at the pub by the canal. Mostly filled with Arsenal fans. And then this massive cunty person came in. He was a Manc fan. He started calling every player "'nationality' cunt" (e.g.: Fabregas on the screen = you Spanish cunt!; Kolo Toure = you French cunt! -er no, he's from Ivory Coast you dumb fuck). Basically just being an absolute tosser. Was I surprised? Hell no ;)

And who the fuck throws CELERIES on the pitch? Very classy. I thought it was snack time for Fat Frank cause he's fat and all.

GAH.

I love massive brawls! We've been accused of being pussies for so long. BRING IT ON!

Cesc for captain, surely. The guy would bleed for us. The only thing he did wrong was not to slit Fat Frank's throat. He was that close.
