Theo finally got on the pitch in Germany.

"It's nice if people are saying that goal was like one of Thierry's," said Walcott, who also scored in both of England's group games. "I train with him every day, Robin's [Van Persie] the same, too, their finishing is unbelievable. But it's great to be able to learn from the best. He's brilliant to train with, he's a top man. I just enjoy watching him train." - Theo Walcott.

Good boy. Please don't turn out to be some prat whose name begins with A and ends with shleyCole.

First goal

Second goal

I know I have reasons not to get overexcited by this because a few years ago Francis Jeffers scored for fun in the U-21s and he's hardly set the world on fire since then but the quality of the goals Theo scored last night was very Henry-esque. I hope he stays in the U21 for many years and wait until the chavtastic factor in the senior England squad mellowed down.
