Can we sing a song for you?

Last weekend saw amazing stuff happening on the pitch and I'm not talking about the ability of Rio Ferdinand celebrating a goal as if he invented the game or the sublime display of Arsenal up til Alexander Song came on or the comedic nibbling/biting between Defoe and Mascherano. Ladies and gentlemen, the best bit came when Moritz Volz scored his first Premiership goal for Fulham. I've always liked him when he was at Arsenal and it's not just because he had the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen. I think he strikes out as being a truly genuine bloke and quite a handy right back. Shame he didn't make it with us because at that time Lauren proved hard to displace. He's also a funny bloke, as illustrated in his website.

And guess what else - Saturday was the first time I'd worn my new boots with HOFF 2 embroidered on them!! I'm serious! If you read my diary in the summer you may remember that I had them made up especially at Nike Town. I only wore them because my blue boots broke in training but they're obviously lethal! It's that Hoff-power! The thing is, now they have a 100% record I'm not sure if I should wear them again. Maybe I should keep them in a glass case, never to be touched!

More here.

He's rapidly displacing Aki (who hasn't upadted in ages) on favourite blogs to read. Shows that not all footballers are about the slags and blings.
