The transfer window in UK closed about 50 minutes ago and it concludes the most excruciating transfer season I've experienced. Yes, this even beats the time where Patrick Vieira did his U-Turn to stay AND his sudden departure 2 seasons ago.
I really think Arsenal is going out of their way to make it harder for fans each season.
To cut a long story short;
OUT: Jose Reyes, Ashley Cole, Robert Pires <3, Sol Campbell, Pascal Cygan (for £2million! no less!)
IN: Baptista, Gallas, Rosicky, Song (oh woe) and some players on trials etc.
What do I think of this?
Well, we haven't exactly strengthen out team, it's almost replacing the ones who left but I am so very happy that we've offloaded those two who are obviously unhappy with the club. Bless Reyes for all his talents but he is by far not the brightest crayon in the box, and Ashley Cole? Good riddance. I look forward for the time you come to Ashburton Grove and we'll sing rude songs for you. Especially something about mobile phones up one's bum. Pascal? I wish him all the best in Villareal and I am grateful I get to see him play once in the Carling Cup. hahaha I still remember the cheers when he successfully outran one of Reading's players.Off the lot, I miss Dennis Bergkamp and Pires most. Ooooh I also got to see him score his last goal for Arsenal rightinfront of me. I was standing at the clock end next to a nice old couple, a twitchy bloke and infront of a bunch of guys smoking a spliff. That was an awesome day.Khalilmakata might say that Ryan Giggs is the best winger in the world but I don't think anyone is better than Pires at his peak. And his genius is something you can't youtube. haha :P
RE: Tevez and Mascherano. I'll get onto that. Along with some issues of ethics and morality in regards of dodgy transfer dealings. Honestly, it's not that I enjoy slagging Chelsea or undermining ther force in the premiership but there are things that are very suspicious and awfully wrong about how things were done.
