judas kiss

“Some players were letting us get kicked and allowing team-mates to get bullied. Too many people took constructive criticism way too personally and wouldn’t talk to you for a week. So I learnt to say nothing to keep the peace in the dressing-room.”

Cole is particularly critical of Philippe Senderos and reveals tension between Robin van Persie and Fredrik Ljungberg. “I was stunned when I saw Martin Keown, an Arsenal legend, speaking to Philippe Senderos, advising him to get tough, do this and that,” Cole says. “Senderos just looked at him, blew his cheeks out and walked off.

“I remember feeling how fragmented we’d all become when Robin van Persie spoke up at training about Freddie Ljungberg, saying: ‘He doesn’t talk to me. Why doesn’t he talk to me?’ Social occasions used to be a big thing, but I couldn’t tell you a thing about Kolo [Touré], [Emmanuel] Eboué, José Antonio Reyes, Cesc [Fàbregas] or Senderos. I don’t know whether they have girlfriends, a family, what they do or where they go in their spare time.”

Cole also condemns Francesc Fàbregas as an “unproven featherweight” compared with the “heavyweight champion” that is Patrick Vieira, criticism unfortunately timed given that Fàbregas is on the brink of signing a new eight-year contract.

Listen up Ashley luv, maybe it's because these people you've mentioned do not have a celebrity trophy popstar wannabe wagwife that's why you do not know whether they have girlfriends/family. Even I, someone who can't even get six degrees of separation with any of the Arsenal team players (but I'm like four degrees closer to Hugo Vianna thanks to my housemate ;), know that Kolo and Eboue is married while the last three has a girlfriend. If fangirls can find that out via the internet or even interviews, how can YOU not know.

Has Keown said anything about Senderos being unprofessional? Para nada!
RE: van Persie/Ljungberg = That sounded like a dialogue in primary school I used to have.
And as for Fàbregas being an unproven lightweight, we have to bear in mind that this lad is barely 20 and yet he's done more than what most young central midfielders could even dream of so I really don't know where you're getting at.

You wanted Arsenal fans to read your book for us to understand what happened from YOUR POINT OF VIEW and how you felt betrayed by the club. Well Ashley, I feel betrayed too. I liked you as a player and how well you linked on the left flank. I liked your last ditch tackles or goalline clearances and how you've contributed to the club. And yet you had to meet our rivals, behind our backs and yet put the blame to not just Arsenal, but Chelsea as well. Which was a big blow but then you still performed on the pitch and I was willing to let it be, and then you declared you wouldn't stay with us even for £200,000 p.w. Or something of that like.

And then this book came out. So Ashley, if you can take your head out of your arse and think for a moment, do you think I am being unreasonable for not sympathizing with what you're going through? Do you think I was unreasonable when I sang 'Oh Ashley Cole Is A Fucking Arsehole?' against Zagreb?

The only thing that I liked from your serialisation was this:
“This slice of pizza came flying over my head and hit Fergie straight in the mush,” Cole says. “All I’ll say is that the culprit wasn’t English or French, so that should narrow it down.”

I hope it was Cesc who did it :D

I've decided that I'm not going to get wound up by whatever you've written in your 'autobiography' anymore. I'm not going to downgrade myself. Thanks for the memories and I do wish you all the best in your career in writing. The bridges are burnt down and I hope you drawn.
